Wonderland Online

Alright, so its been nearly two months since my last entry, but who cares. As some of you might have noticed, I cleaned up a few posts on this blog, just because I felt like it and they were useless.

Rain and I have pretty much quit WLO for a while, there just wasn't anything interesting to do and leveling was starting to become a real chore. (Like it always does eventually in every game) But we're not completely giving up on it, seeing as how we sometimes go on for the Exp events, and come Version 6, we'll probably go back to it.

So while we're waiting, we decided to write a 'little' fanfic based on the game's storylines and mechanics. And although we already have up to chapter 3, I'm only going to post the prologue today. I'll probably make a forum for it later.

Skye sighed and leaned back against the railing, putting her hands behind her head. It was a beautiful morning abroad the ship, seagulls were exchanging the daily news; the weather was warm and crisp with the fresh scent of saltwater in the air.

..And Skye hated it.

It wasn’t that she didn’t like sailing, at times when the ship was going fast enough, Skye almost felt like she was flying. No, it was more of the reason why she and her older sister were on the ship and the place they were heading too. 

She still couldn’t understand why the elders in her family had insisted that she meet Star’s aunt and uncle. According to them, it was so both sides could get to know each other a bit better, since Star wasn’t really her flesh and blood sister.  Though seeing how Star was only one year older then her, she never would have guessed.

Except for perhaps the fact that the two look almost nothing alike, (and the fact that Skye already knew they were related) while Star had hair the color of dark charcoal, Skye was the exact opposite, possessing silverish white. Both had dark silver eyes and pale skin. (Skye had no idea how her hair and skin came to be such an abnormal color, seeing how she had only French and Japanese blood in her, so she blamed it on the elder’s obsession with baths and their cleansing formulas.)   

Their parents often said they were like the Ying and Yang reversed, Star being the more responsible one despite her appearance, while Skye never turned down an opportunity to cause trouble.  Of course, it wasn’t like Star didn’t have her fair share of scheming. She was often the one who thought the plans up, while Skye carried them out.

Skye sighed again gloomily, staring down into the water. She’d thought she had seen the worst when the elders had made her learn Ikebana (Which she only did so they’d enlist her in swordsmanship), but this was just a complete waste of time. Well, at least she’d be able to see America, even though she supposed it wasn’t much different from Japan. And maybe she could even escape from her Ik-

“Sailing is great, isn’t it?”

With a start, Skye turned to see Star standing beside her, looking completely at ease in her sailor suit. Skye groaned when she realized that she was still in her stupid traditional kimono.

“You just interrupted my train of thought.” She replied, all the while murderously cursing her parents in her head.

“Oh I’m sorry; I didn’t know you could actually think.” Star teased, tipping her head to one side and fluttering her eyelashes. “Nice kimono by the way, pink really suits you.”

Skye gritted her teeth and glared in response. “Nice skirt, very frilly, you almost look like Sailor Moon! Maybe I should start calling you meatball head from now on?” She spat.

“Oh hell, don’t you dare.”

“Hey, you started it. Besides you did have an obsession with Sailor Moon for a while, so I thought I was giving you a compliment.”

Star rolled her eyes. “Look, I was 6 okay? And when are you going to change out of that stupid outfit anyways?” She poked at a sleeve.

Skye pulled away, “Right now, I just have to go find that overweight captain and ask him where the bathrooms are.”

 “If you say so, I’m going to stay here for a while longer.” And without further ado, Star pulled out a mini sketchpad from her pocket and a pencil. She always had paper and pencil with her.

Snorting, Skye began to head towards the upper dock, all the while dodging the crowds and glaring whenever someone bumped into her.  The ferocity of her gaze made many of them cough and stammer out an apology.

She stopped for a moment when she had reached the stairs, wrinkling her nose as she spotted a pinkish fish (Salmon perhaps?) lying on the upper stair.  After a moment of thought, she stepped on it, causing a teenager behind her to squeal as fish guts exploded all over her feet.

“Ew, ew! Jack!!”

Snickering, Skye proceeded up the rest of the stairs. For some reason, their condition became worse as she proceeded up. Skye thought this was rather strange, seeing how the ones closer to the bottom were freshly painted. She shrugged; the captain was probably just too lazy to bother with the rest.

 Skye squinted slightly as the sunlight hit her eyes when she reached the top, and it took her a second before she could make out the captain; who was bellowing at the top of his lungs as usual about something.

The platform he was standing on was adjoined by two mini staircases on each side. Behind him was a wooden cabin painted white, Skye guessed that it was probably pretty old, judging by how the paint was peeling off. Though she was still pretty far away, she could pick up the sound of loud stomping of sailors on top of the cabin, every once in a while she heard them swear.

“YOU, GET BACK INTO THE KITCHEN! AND YOU, FETCH ME A GLASS OF WATER! HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO STAY IN THIS INFERN-Oh hello, how may I help you?” He stammered, cutting off his tantrum when he caught the rather irritated look on Skye’s face. Coughing, he pulled out a lace handkerchief and mopped his face, which was now bright red. Then stood up and tried to make himself look more kindly. Judging by how he was yelling a moment ago, Skye wasn’t impressed.

“Well for one, you can stop that racket and shut up. Some of the passengers might be trying to sleep you know, and they don’t need a freaking elephant like you waking them up. For another, I was wondering if you coul-“

Skye twitched when a sailor ran up, interrupting her for the second time that day. The man panted, red-faced, he looked as if he had just run a marathon. His uniform was sticking to his skin, and he drew a hand across his forehead as he skidded to a stop.

“S-sir! We have been struck by an iceberg; the second floor has been flooded as well!!” He looked as though he had just announced that the sky was falling.

In response, the captain began spluttering, his face turning even redder.

Skye’s eyes widened, before whirling around to face the scene of disaster, sure enough, there was a giant iceberg protruding from what was the staircase she had just came up on.

Despite the danger they were in, Skye couldn’t help but be confused by the sight.

It’s the middle of April, what’s an iceberg doi-

“Attention everyone, please head towards the lifeboats in an orderly and calm fashion! We are in no serious danger!” The captain’s terrified voice stated quite the exact opposite.

Before she could complete her thought, something hard knocked her over. She barely had a moment to comprehend what was happening before she was underwater. Gasping and spluttering, she forced her head above the water just in time to hear her sister’s voice among the screaming passengers.

“SKYE! DAMNIT, WHERE’D YOU GO?!”

Before she could muster the strength to answer, Skye felt herself being pulled downwards again.

And I never even got to change out of this stupid kimono...

And its done. As you can see, the length is also another reason why I won't be posting it all. Thank you for reading, criticisms and comments would be appreciated.

Okay so today I was just chatting with my friends on FB and stuff while checking out my news. And this popped up!

If you people DO manage to conquer the Chinese world, ask the Chinese people if they like doughnuts, please?

Alright so I was just looking through some of the WLO pet pictures, and I was wondering if anyone else noticed something strange about the characters. Look at these for example.

Sorry for the bad graphics. The eyes are supposed to be BROWN, just for clearance.

For those of you who haven't, the answer is the EYES!! In the first picture, Roca has Brown, but in the second, her eyes are blue! The same thing happens with Kanako in her bow and arrow picture. Kinda creepy, I wish i could magically change the color of my eyes. O.o..

One thing I really hate is whenever your trying to log onto the game and you get this Update Edition or whatever thing. Its expecially annoying when your under a time limit and your trying to log on before you have to go or whatever.

Well at least the GMs are giving us good events this time, even though the Holy one is useless (to me) since I won't be able to attend it. The Mid Autumn one will be good since it'll make getting Pet Return scrolls a lot easier, expecially since all my pets seem to insist on leaning towards Agil when they should have CON and STR. It should be a crime against the system to have a Elin add points into Spd!!

Then I'm going to have a Full INT and WIS Frederico (Or Niss) and take over the world. After that, I'll lock anyone who complains into a cell filled with doughnuts.

Words of the day: Training Ticket.

Why? Because they're awesome!! And because they're easy to use, leave you character on remote overnight, come back on in the morning, and they level about 8 levels while your asleep. Well, depending on the amount of time you had left anyways.

Anyone else want to join me on my campaign for free training tickets? (Never going to happen probably, but whatever)

And could someone here please explain to me the value of Glaze stones? One of my alts got some from the Ice Cube event, and I have no idea what to do with them. I understand they're worth alot (Note the shops that sell them for about 100K) but I don't get it, do people like to use goddness skills THAT much?

And I have a question about this picture, is it possible to get it in the english version? Or is it only avaliable in Japanese and Chinese? And if its not restricted to only Asia, then would it still be avaiable if you've already killed Xao Lan?
